A 'giant' wave of violence has broken out in Bangalore and elsewhere in India on Tuesday, causing the evacuation of dozens of buses.

On Monday, an entire bus carrying 40,000 passengers was burnt down as it was travelling from the city centre, to a bus station.

The bus was in the city central station when people took to the roads.

At least 10 people tried to jump on the back of the bus to try and grab firemen at the spot – but none were able to do so.

At least 27 people were also killed in the latest bloodshed in the city.
