It was the very first time I ever travelled abroad.


I felt like a stranger to the rest of the village. As I walked away, the town was like a black hole: I walked to that spot, where people stared me down. We sat on the porch watching the people wait here in the evening before we headed to the doctor's clinic. It was beautiful to see the people waiting here before we reached the station. I'm still in shock.


I was a child when I arrived at the hospital that day. I couldn't believe it. I was born in Japan, but my mother told me there was no need for children in Japan because of the high suicide rate of children there, it was just a problem with poor birth rates. I was about 8 years old and my mom, who was Japanese, told her that she wanted me to go to the doctor's office because I had a bad health history when I was a baby. I started taking antidepressants to try and be better.


I left school last February in May of that year. I remember the day my mother, who was very happy with all that I got up to do, told me she just got me a job when I was 8 years old.


I remember it was the beginning of the Japanese invasion against the Japanese government. About two months ago I arrived at Fukuhara City. On arrival I saw the military
