Pilar said that she is the daughter of a former priest and a teacher at Catholic secondary school in the suburb of La Palma in a northern suburb of the province of Puebla.
The parents asked their daughter to provide DNA on Thursday evening so they could file a missing persons case against the pastor.
They are trying to trace the name of the girl who disappeared, however the girl's father, who is also Catholic, told local newspaper La Jornada that he never told his son to let the case proceed.
During the investigation of Maisa's disappearance, the priest called an ambulance before giving her a massage so the couple could get to a hospital for the last time. They then got into the car to board a bus to Puebla and then proceeded to find their daughter.
"If she never said a word, it's possible but we don't know where she is. We want to know who is responsible for her disappearance. This must lead us to finally get the truth about what happened."
