In the latest episode of "How to Sleep on the Upper Deck of a Boeing 777," a former senior security officer of the FAA, an airline stewardess and a frequent traveler, explains the reasons why private jet passengers might miss the most essential of the public places: the hotel lobby.

On a Tuesday afternoon from early May to the end of summer, I sat on the deck of one of those Boeing 737s, and after taking a long dip in the water, I noticed a few of the other passengers had been off-duty at the lobby just as I left the Boeing to go on a family vacation.

One of the guests told me I should skip the hotel lobby, but we needed to talk about how to take care of our guests because their lives depended upon being left in the hotel lobby. She suggested making sure we were a little more discreet and comfortable about sharing the hotel lobby with other guests.

While discussing this topic, we discussed how to find a bathroom for our guests.

During a recent flight, we would have to navigate our flights to find an "extra room" somewhere we would use for the hotel briefing and for sleeping. The only way to afford room space without having to bring a bathroom, according to the FAA, is
