How to get there

Take Las Vegas for a night out, walk north on a beach outside of Las Vegas, up the beach at Lake Mead (see a map), and go across town. There is a pretty large, open desert-like area and you should be able to get to work around 7 AM, but you'd never do that with a car. If you arrive a couple of hours early, you get a car park on the Strip, close to the intersection of Route 99 and I-15 where parking can sometimes be surprisingly cheap once you make it there.

You're going to find everything you need to know about Los Angeles:

The Downtown and Center Avenues, one block north and two blocks south of the Strip, at the corner of San Pablo Street and Hwy 29.

There is a pretty large, open desert-like area in the area surrounding the Downtown and center Avenues as well as the Loop Expressway and the Downtown and west of Sunset Boulevard. In San Pablo you'll also find a large paved pathway at the north end of LA Boulevard, with a couple of shops that might get parking when you cross the street. At Sunset Boulevard, drive from a couple of block south until you reach L.A.
